My visual is of a teacher (on the left) and a student (on the right). Even though the student is shorter in height than the teacher, I gave him a stool so that we were the same height, or equal. I was trying to present my philosophy as the teacher and student being equal to one another. I don't think I'm any better than any of my students, nor do I think I'm any sort of way "higher" than them (except physically).
