After reading Jay Lord's article "Lessons from the Apartment Classroom" I realize the importance of constructing and organizing a classroom learning space. It can become more challenging than it needs to be to teach a lesson because of how the class is set-up.
My current internship classroom is one with hardly any room in between the students' desks. It makes it difficult for me to get around and check everyone's work. When having to make my way to a student, it's like a maze to me; I try and find the best way to get to them without having another student scoot forward or disrupting them in anyway.
